The applicant is seeking bail in Crime No.1272 of 2022, registered with Police Station: Gadge Nagar, District: Amravati, for the offences punishable under Sections 306 and 498-A of the Indian Penal Code. 3.

This is an unfortunate incident wherein the daughter and mother committed suicide. The applicant is the husband of deceased Suvarna Wankhade and father of deceased Mrunali Wankhade. It is alleged that because of ill-treatment at the hands of the applicant the deceased committed suicide.

The case dairy shows that the deceased Suvarna committed suicide after 25 years of her marriage with the applicant.

Moreover, it is pointed out that from three days prior to the incident, the applicant was not at home. C.L.Dhakate

The applicant is in jail since 26.10.2022 i.e. for about two months. Thus, in absence of any incriminating material to prima facie show that any such alleged behavior of the applicant was abate suicide. In the circumstances, I am of the opinion that the applicant is entitled for grant of bail. Accordingly, I pass the following order: a) The criminal application is allowed.

b) It is directed that the applicant shall be released on bail in Crime No.1272 of 2022, registered with Police Station: Gadge Nagar, District: Amravati, for the offences punishable under Sections 306 and 498-A of the Indian Penal Code, on furnishing P.R. Bond of Rs.25,000/- with one solvent surety in the like amount.

c) The applicant shall attend the concerned Police Station as and when his presence is required. d) The applicant shall not tamper with the prosecution witnesses.

The criminal application is disposed of accordingly.
