Heard Ms. S.S. Bhawsagar, learned counsel (appointed) for the petitioner and Mrs. Rashi Deshpande, learned APP for the respondents.

The petitioner - mother of a prisoner claims herself to be ill and seeks extension of furlough leave granted to her son. The son - Santosh has been released on furlough leave of two weeks on 28.05.2015. The extension has been sought by moving an application on 15.09.2015. The extension sought for by the mother earlier has been rejected by the Competent Authority on 08.07.2015.

The record shows that the said son - Santosh has not complied with the terms and conditions of his release and had not reported back in spite of rejection of his furlough leave extension application.

We are, therefore, not inclined to interfere in the matter. Criminal Writ Petition is rejected.

The charges of counsel appointed for the petitioner are fixed at Rs.1,500/-.
