Challenge in the present writ petition is to the order dated 27.12.2011 by which the objections raised on account of non inclusion of the name of the petitioner in the Gramdan Kisan List have been turned down. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the non inclusion of the name of the petitioner was contrary to the provisions of the Gramdan Act, 1964.

The facts on record indicate that the Gramdan Kisan list was published on 16.11.2011 and the elections were held shortly thereafter on 31.12.2011. The term is admittedly for a period of

1412caw2433.15 five years. The term in relation to which the present writ petition relates is to come to an end by the end of December 2015. Hence the challenge raised in the present writ petition has become academic due to passage of time.

By keeping the grounds raised in the petition open and by clarifying that the impugned order dated 27.12.2011 shall not come in the way of the petitioner when the fresh process for preparing the Gramdan Kisan List is undertaken and elections of the Gramdan Mandal are held, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
