Heard Ms Sangeeta Jachak, A.P.P. for the nonapplicant No.1. By this application under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the applicant has prayed that the First Information Report registered against him for the offence punishable under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 be quashed.

The First Information Report is registered on 7th September 2019. The investigation is still in progress. In our view, this is not a fit case to exercise jurisdiction under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to abort the investigation by quashing the First Information Report. Hence, at this stage, we are not inclined to show any indulgence and keeping the avenue of moving the trial Court after filing of the charge-sheet open, this criminal application is dismissed.
