The applicants/Claimants have filed this application for condonation of delay of 876 days in filing the appeal against the Judgment and Award dated 17.02.2017 passed in L.A.C. No.1807 of 2004.

The learned Assistant Govenrment Pleader though did not raise any strong objection, but the learned Counsel for the respondent no.3/ Acquiring Body strongly opposed the application on the ground that the delay is inordinate.

However, considering the reasons stated in the application and in the interest of justice, the application stands allowed and the delay is condoned, subject to costs of Rs.1500/- to be paid to the Registry of this Court within three weeks, for utilization of the High Court Dispensary.

It is made clear that the applicants/Claimants

2 10.caf.1006.2020 shall not claim any interest and statutory benefits for the aforesaid period of the delay.

The application is disposed of.
