By the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks direction to be issued to the respondents to release the pensionary benefits from 01.10.2001 along with interest. Pursuant to the interim orders passed by this Court, the Zilla Parishad through its District Health Officer has passed an order on 03.08.2019 granting pensionary benefits to the petitioner.

According to the learned counsel for the petitioner the amount of pension has not been appropriately calculated. He further submits that since the petitioner is a senior citizen, he is not in a position to indicate the manner in which the pension has been determined incorrectly.

Since it is found that the Zilla Parishad has released the pensionary benefits of the petitioner, the purpose of filing the present writ petition stands served. If the petitioner feels that the amount of pension has not been appropriately calculated, he is free to make a representation in that regard to the respondent no.2. If such representation is made by the petitioner, the same be adjudicated by the respondent no.2 in accordance with law

With this direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
