Heard Shri Sonwane, learned counsel for the petitioners, Shri Dhatrak, learned counsel for respondent No. 1 and Mrs. Joshi, learned AGP for respondent Nos. 2 & 3.

Shri Dhatrak, learned counsel states that pension till October 2014 has been released to the petitioners. He further adds that salaries of regular staff are being released every month. He points out the paucity of funds as reason for inability to pay pension every month regularly.

Shri Sonwane, learned counsel insists for issuing a direction to Municipal Council to release pension every month.

We direct Respondent No. 1 to take necessary steps to see that all arrears of the petitioners are cleared within six months from today and also to see that at the

42wp157.14 end of said period, they start receiving their due pension every month regularly.

With these directions, we dispose of the present writ petition. There shall be no order as to costs.

The orders of this Court dated 12.12.2014 passed in present matter should be treated as a direction issued in public interest. Public Interest Litigation be registered as per said orders and placed before the appropriate Bench as per roster assignment.

Shri Sonwane and Shri Dhatrak, learned counsel and learned AGP waive service for respective parties.
