Heard learned counsel for petitioners.

In short, it is a case of the petitioners that their land is affected due to back water of Gosikhurd Project and therefore, they have requested the authorities to acquire their land and grant benefit of rehabilitation.

We have gone through record. We find that purpose of the petitioners would be served if the respondent authorities are directed to consider the claim of the petitioners in the light of policy prevailing today.

In that view of the matter, we dispose of the petition with direction to respondent authorities to consider the request of the petitioners for acquisition and rehabilitation of their land. This exercise shall be done within twelve weeks from today. The petitioners are directed to communicate this order to the authorities within a week from today. Petition is disposed of accordingly.
