The petitioner has approached this Court for seeking direction to the respondent - Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a stipulated period. 3.

The petitioner belongs to 'Mana' scheduled tribe. The caste claim of the petitioner for verification was submitted to the committee on 24/11/2022. the petitioner submits that the Vigilance Cell has already completed its enquiry and submitted the Vigilance Cell report. The committee has also issued Show Cause Notice to the petitioner on 15/04/2025 for which the petitioner has submitted his reply on 12/06/2025. 4.

Learned AGP submits that though the petitioner has submitted his reply on 12/06/2025; however, during the course of hearing, the petitioner has produced certain additional documents on record for substantiating his caste claim. The

13.wp.5713.25.odt aforesaid documents were accepted by the committee and the committee has forwarded said documents to the Vigilance Cell for conducting further enquiry of the said documents. 5.

In view of the above, this writ petition can be disposed of by directing the respondent-committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a stipulated period. 6.

Hence, the respondent - committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of appearance of the petitioner.

The petitioner to appear before the respondent - committee on 04/10/2025.
