The applicant seeks quashing of the First Information Report dated 16.03.2017 registered under Sections 448, 506(B) and 509 of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 3(2)(5)(A) of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 at Police Station Imambada, Nagpur. On hearing the learned counsel for the applicant, we do not find any proper explanation for seeking to challenge the said First Information Report dated 16.03.2017 after almost six years. In that view of the matter, we are not inclined to exercise discretion and examine the challenge on merits. The criminal application is thus rejected.
