The learned counsel for the parties state that the issue involved in this case is also involved in Writ Petition No.506 of 2016 (Jayant Balkrishna Kulkarni and others v. The General Manager, Savatram Prmprasad Mills, Akola and others) and this Court has, by an order dated 13/06/2016, partly allowed the writ petition and has directed the respondents to pay the amount towards encashment of balance sick leave within a period of three months with interest at the rate of 6% per annum. It is stated that a similar order could be passed in this writ petition also.

Hence, for the reasons recorded in the order, dated 13/06/2016 in Writ Petition No.506 of 2016, this writ petition is also partly allowed. We hereby direct the respondents to pay the monetary benefits towards balance sick leave to the petitioners with interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the date of filing of the petition till the date on which the amount is actually paid. The order should be implemented by the respondents within a period of three months or else the respondents would be liable to pay interest at the rate of 15% per annum from the date of filing of the writ petition till the date of actual realization.
