The only prayer made by the petitioner is for a direction to the respondent no.1 - Education Officer to decide the proposal in respect of the promotion of the petitioner to the post of Junior Clerk dated 24.7.2014.

It is stated on behalf of the petitioner that though the Management has sent the proposal of the petitioner to the Education Officer in July, 2014, the same is not decided till date. Since the prayer made by the petitioner is innocuous, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the respondent no.1 - Education Officer to decide the proposal of the petitioner, if not decided as yet, within a period of eight weeks. Order accordingly. No order as to costs.
