DATE : DECEMBER 15, 2016 The present application has been filed by the applicant for extension of time to comply with the order dated 13.10.2016 in Writ Petition No. 1354/2016.

Since the applicant-State had undertaken to abide with the orders passed by this Court, we had directed an affidavit to be filed by the Secretary of the department concerned thereby giving a specific undertaking as to when the training would start.

Accordingly, Ms Medha Gadgil, Additional Chief Secretary, Medical Education and Drugs, has filed an affidavit thereby stating as under:

"6.

I undertake that the directions issued by this Hon'ble Court vide its order dated 13.10.2016 or imparting training to the petitioner's and other Food Inspectors, will be started before 9.1.2017 and shall be completed at the earliest."

In that view of the matter, the application is allowed. The time is extended as prayed for.
