DATE : December 16, 2019 The petitioner is aggrieved by the order dated 15/07/2019 passed by the Divisional Commissioner while adjudicating a challenge to the seniority list which includes the petitioner's name. Since the petitioner holds the post of Talathi and the promotions are governed by the provisions of Maharashtra Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1981, the dispute appears to be a "service matter". The jurisdiction to entertain the same would lie before the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal. With liberty to the petitioner to challenge the order dated 15/07/2019 before the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal, the Writ Petition is disposed of. All points are kept open. No costs.
