3] The petitioner's father was in employment with the second respondent for the period from 19/10/1987 to 27/1/2018. He died in harness and the petitioner, his daughter seeks consideration of her claim for appointment on compassionate basis. In accordance with the Scheme for compassionate appointment framed by the Ministry of Defence, the case of the petitioner was examined. It is stated that the petitioner secured 47 marks out of 100 in the said assessment. The petitioner is now has been shown at Sr. No. 33 in the wait list. The petitioner has made a representation dated 26/7/2023 seeking consideration of her claim of this basis.

4] In the aforesaid facts, the Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26/7/2023 and take a decision thereon within a period of four weeks of receiving copy of the order. In case the petitioner is not satisfied with the outcome of such consideration, she is free to take appropriate legal recourse before the competent Court in accordance with law.
