Hearing was conducted through video conferencing and the learned counsel agreed that the audio and visual quality was proper.

As per order dated 07-05-2015 passed in First Appeal No.304/2015, this Court has permitted the appellant/original defendant to deposit 50% of the decretal amount. The amount was deposited on 21-05-2015.

Due to enhancement of the pecuniary jurisdiction of the District Court, this appeal was transferred to the District Court and numbered as Regular Civil Appeal No.132/2017. It was decided on 16-12-2019 and the judgment of the trial Court was confirmed. The defendant was directed to pay sum of Rs.17,26,040.28/- along with interest. The original plaintiff is seeking its withdrawal. Issue notice to the respondent.

The respondent is permitted to serve the appellant by e-mail and file acknowledgment.
