The only prayer made by the petitioner is for consideration of its application dated 09.10.2023 seeking extension of the period of suspension so as to enable it to complete the enquiry that has been initiated against Junior College Teacher Shri Ronald W. David. By order dated 07.07.2023 the Deputy Director of Education permitted the petitioner to suspend the services of the said employee. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the period of 120 days would expire on 09.11.2023. In view of this, application dated 09.10.2023 has been moved seeking extension of the period of suspension by referring to the provisions of Rule 33 of the Maharashtra Employees of Private Schools (Conditions of Service) Rules, 1981. 3.

In aforesaid facts, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to decide the application dated 09.10.2023 within a period of one week from today and communicate the decision to the petitioner. The learned Assistant Government Pleader to communicate the said order to the respondent.
