The challenge in the petition is to the order dated 29.09.1986 whereby the services of the petitioner were terminated. The challenge is based on the ground that the same was without following the principle of seniority and also the petitioner being in continuous service of the respondent no.3.

The fact remains that the order of termination was passed in 1986 and the challenge is raised in 2024 i.e. after a period of almost forty years without there being any explanation in regard to the delay and laches.

For the aforesaid reason, the petition in our opinion does not want any consideration as the same suffers from delay and laches. The writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
