In the present petition, the order of the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal, Nagpur, dated 16.09.2025, is under challenge whereby the Original Application of the petitioner for extension of service period in view of the fact that 6 P.G. students were studying under him, has been rejected.

The learned Tribunal dismissed the Original Application being devoid of any merit, observing that the petitioner had already been superannuated on 31.08.2025.

We, do not find any error committed by the Tribunal and accordingly, the petition is dismissed. However, considering the fact that representation of the petitioner dated 14.05.2025 is pending with the Government, we direct respondent No. 1 to take decision on such representation, at the earliest, and in any case, within two months from today.

Learned counsel for petitioner undertakes to communicate this order to respondent No.1, within one week from today. 6.
