Heard learned counsel for the rival parties. Perused the reply.

Admittedly, the girl was playing and is minor and the applicant took her and committed the offence of rape. The offences are registered under Sections 4 and 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, apart from Section 376 of Indian Penal Code. The criminal record filed by the learned APP before me shows that the applicant has by now become an expert in committing the offences against human body and also outraging the modesty. The offences are as many as eleven. In this situation, the only thing that can be done is to expedite the trial, as such a person cannot be released on bail.

In the circumstances, Criminal Application [BA]

No. 927 of 2015 is rejected. Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial and to order providing protection to the witnesses.
