Rule. Heard finally considering the short issue involved.

The only relief sought by the petitioners is of a direction to the Sub-Divisional Officer, Chimur to adjudicate the application preferred under Section 28 A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 which has been preferred by the petitioners on 29.03.2000. According to the petitioners, they are entitled for redetermination of the amount of compensation for the reasons stated in that application.

In the reply filed on behalf of the SubDivisional Officer it has been stated that the petitioners' application would be decided at the earliest, if the petitioners co-operate.

Considering the limited relief as sought, the writ petition is disposed of by passing the following order :

WP6677.18 2/2 (i) The petitioners shall appear before the Sub Divisional Officer, Chimur, on 29.02.2020 which is the next date of the proceedings.

(ii) The Sub-Divisional Officer, Chimur shall after granting an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners decide the said application within a period of four weeks from the first date of appearance of the parties before it. (iii) The writ petition is allowed in aforesaid terms and disposed of. Rule accordingly.
