Heard the learned Counsel for the rival parties.
It is not in dispute that the applicant was arrested on 11-05-2014.
It is not in dispute that the trial of the accused can be commenced within a reasonable time. Since the applicant is in jail from 11-05-2014 it will be proper if the hearing of the trial is expedited. I think, the following order would sub-serve the interest of justice.
Order A] Criminal Application (BA) No.872 of 2014 is rejected.
B] The trial Court is directed to expedite the hearing of the trial and complete the same, within a period of four months from today.
Criminal Application (APPP) No.1520 of With Criminal Application (APPP) No.1521 of With Criminal Application (APPP) No.1542 of As the Criminal Application (BA) No.872 of 2014 is rejected, all the Criminal Applications have become infructuous. Hence, all the Criminal Applications are disposed of as infructuous.
