Shri Parchure, the learned counsel for the petitioner, states that the proposal of the petitioner for grant of essential certificate, as recommended by the Maharashtra Nursing Council, is pending with the State Government for long. It is stated that a direction may be issued against the State Government to decide the proposal expeditiously.

Since the prayer made by the petitioner is innocuous without issuing a notice to the respondent No.2, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction against the State Government to decide the proposal of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible and within six months. Order accordingly. No costs.
