The suicide is said to have been committed on 17.11.2015. Insofar as the applicants are concerned, the allegations are; six months before the incident, the deceased Bharti was being mentally harassed by the applicants. Even in the FIR it is stated that the applicants used to come from their ordinary place of residence and harass the deceased.

At any rate, looking to the nature of the allegations, it does not appear that the applicants who are married sisters-in-law of the deceased, had abetted the suicide and there is no 'live link', which is the sine quo non for constituting an offence under Section 306 of the IPC.

In that view of the matter, I make the following order.

ORDER

(i) Criminal Application No.661/2015 is allowed.

(ii) Rule made absolute in terms of order dated 14.12.2015.
