Prayer is to condone the delay in filing the first appeal. The reasons are mentioned in paragraphs 3 to 7 of the civil application. One of the reasons mentioned is that the amount of compensation was deposited belatedly and higher compensation has been granted for a part of the land which was acquired subsequently.
The prayer is opposed by the learned counsel for the non-applicant no.3 on the ground that the reasons mentioned are not sufficient.
Considering the reasons mentioned and subject to the applicant not being entitled to interest on the amount of compensation if enhanced for the period from 22.01.2007 to 30.01.2017, the delay in filing the appeal stands condoned. Civil application is allowed and disposed of.

Heard. ADMIT. Call for Record & Proceedings. In view of order passed on C.A.F. No.3493 of 2018, the claimant would not be entitled to interest on the amount of compensation if enhanced for the period from 22.01.2007 to 30.01.2017.
