It is grievance of the petitioner that by the interim order dated 22.04.2019 the respondent herein was directed to clear 50 % arrears towards amount of maintenance within period of six weeks from today. The same has not been done by the respondent and hence the present Contempt Petition has been filed. The order dated 22.04.2019 is self operative. If the respondent would have deposited 50 % arrears of maintenance within the stipulated time, no coercive steps were liable to be taken to implement the impugned order. In other words on failure to deposit 50 % arrears as directed, the impugned order was liable to be executed. Hence, the petitioner is free to execute the order dated 11.12.2018 in accordance with law. The Contempt Petition is disposed of.
