The applicant is convicted for offence punishable under section 376(2)(i)(n) of the Indian Penal Code read with Section 6 of Protection of Children From Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO Act) and is sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for 10 years.

In view of the nature of the allegations proved, I am not inclined to suspend the sentence.

The application is rejected.

However, since the sentence is being suspended, the appeal ought to be heard on priority basis. 5.
Record and proceedings is received.
