2) Out of the available sanctioned strength of staff with the petitioner No.2 College managed by the petitioner No.1 Society on the date of passing of the impugned order, two posts were lying vacant. This petition is pending since 2018. After almost six years the matter is being taken up for disposal. 3) Mr.Ghate, learned Counsel for the petitioners, submits that as on date there are four vacancies, which are required to be filled in on priority as it is the students, who are suffering for want of quality education because of the shortage of teaching staff. Therefore, he urges that the petitioners have no objection, if the respondents permit them to fill in the posts through the new procedure viz 'Pavitra Portal'. He further submits that the petitioners are already registered with the respondent No.1 on 'Pavitra Portal' and for filling the vacancies, the petitioners shall with entire details approach the respondent No.2 Deputy Director of Education by 26/08/2024.

2 02-wp 593.2018.odt 4) We direct the respondent No.2 Deputy Director of Education to deal with the proposal, if submitted by the petitioners by 26/08/2024 for the purpose of filling in the vacant sanctioned posts as expeditiously as possible and in any case, within a period of three months from the date of submission of the proposal.

5) Mr.Ghate, learned Counsel for the petitioners, assures that the petitioners shall remove all the shortfalls as brought to their notice by the respondent No.2 in the matter of grant of permission to fill up the posts.

6) Needless to clarify that it shall also be open for the respondent No.2 to sponsor the Teachers whose services are declared surplus in other Schools and who are taken on wait list in accordance with law.
