Mr. Kunte, learned counsel for the respondent states that the authorities are still firm on their stand as stated in the letter dated 27/07/2021, which is filed on record at page 47, that the claim of the petitioner for promotion will be considered in the next meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC).

In view of the above statement, nothing survives in the petition. Accordingly, the petition stands disposed of. 3.

Liberty is granted to the petitioner to file the petition afresh, if such occasion arises.
