The petitioner restricts his claim only for a direction to the respondent no.1-Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner expeditiously.

Hence, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.1-Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner as early as possible and within a period of six months from today. It is made clear that the petitioner's service shall not be adversely affected till the decision of the respondent no.1Committee and in case, the decision of the respondent no.1Committee is adverse to the interest of the petitioner, his services shall not be adversely affected for a period of four months from the receipt of the same by the petitioner.

The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. No costs.
