The petitioner has already given up the claim of belonging to the reserved category. However, considering the long length of service put in by the petitioner, Mr. Dharmadhikari, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner would urge that the services of the petitioner be protected as he is to be superannuated in the month of May, 2025.

We are not inclined to consider the said issue at this stage of the proceedings as it shall be open for the petitioner to approach the employer seeking protection of services if so desire, which claim, if so placed, be considered by the employer in accordance with its own merits 4.

With the aforesaid liberty, the petition stands disposed of.

Let the representation be preferred within a period of two weeks from today, which shall be decided expeditiously and in any case, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the same.

Till then there shall be no coercive action against the petitioner.
