By this petition, the petitioners seek direction to the respondent no. 3 - Municipal Council, Anjangaon Surji to release the pensionary benefits of the petitioners as shown in para 5 of the petition within stipulated period. 3.
The learned counsel for Municipal Council submitted that, the financial position of the Municipal Council is not sound and in similar matters i.e. in Writ Petition Nos. 3626/2021, 1422/2018 and 720/2021, this Court has directed to release the pensionary benefits, however, by this Court, the time is granted to release the same within a period of one year.

The respondent no. 3 undertakes to release the pensionary benefits as claimed by the petitioners within a period of one year from today i.e. 25/06/2025. In view of this undertaking, the present petition is partly allowed.

The respondent no. 3 is hereby direted to release the pensionary benefits of the petitioners as shown in para 5 of the petition within a period of one year from today i.e. 25/06/2025.

It is made clear that, if the Municipal Council i.e. respondent no. 3 fails to pay pensionary benefits as claimed in para 5 of the petition within a period of one year from today i.e. 25/06/2025, it shall pay interest to the petitioners @ 10% per annum.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of.
