Rule. Rule made returnable forthwith and heard the learned counsel for the parties.

The petitioner seeks stepping up of her pay-scale so that it would be at par with the pay-scale of that teacher who is junior to her. Representation in that regard has been made to the Director of Higher Education, Punerespondent No.2 on 21/11/2022. The petitioner seeks consideration of the aforesaid representation.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that this Court in Writ Petition No.994/2023 (Dr Tapan Netaichandra Dutta vs. The State of Maharashtra and ors.) has on 13/02/2023 issued directions to the respondent No.2 to decide such representation and take a decision on the same on merits. In view of aforesaid, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent No.2 to decide the petitioner's representation dated 21/11/2022 in the matter of stepping up of her pay-scale on its own merits and in accordance with law preferably within a period of six months from today. In case the pay of the petitioner is stepped up, consequential effect shall also be given to the pensionary benefits. Rule accordingly. No order as to costs. ADWAIT BHANDAKKAR 10:55:19 (M. W.
