Rule. Rule made returnable forthwith and heard the learned counsel for the parties.

The petitioner seeks stepping up of her pay-scale so that it would be at par with the pay-scale of that teacher who is junior to her. Representation in that regard has been made to the Joint Director of Higher Education, Nagpurrespondent No.2 on 17/10/2022. The petitioner seeks consideration of the aforesaid representation.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that this Court in Writ Petition No.994/2023 (Dr Tapan Netaichandra Dutta vs. The State of Maharashtra and ors.) has on 13/02/2023 issued directions to the respondent No.2 to decide such representation and take a decision on the same on merits. In view of aforesaid, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent No.2 to decide the petitioner's representation dated 17/10/2022 in the matter of stepping up of her pay-scale on its own merits and in accordance with law preferably within a period of six months from today. Rule accordingly. No order as to costs.
