By this Writ Petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent-Municipal Council to pay the retiral dues of the petitioner.

Shri P.P. Dehsmukh, the learned counsel for the respondent No.4-Municipal Council states that the entire dues of the petitioner have been paid and the cause for filing the Writ Petition would not survive.

At the stage, the learned counsel for the petitioner makes a prayer for a direction to the respondent-Municipal Council to pay interest on the amount that is paid during the pendency of the

In the circumstances of the case, we reject the prayer made on behalf of the petitioner. Since the amount due and payable to the petitioner towards retiral benefits is paid to the petitioner, the Writ Petition is disposed of, with no order as to costs.
