The applicant is a Police Constable serving in Traffic Branch, who indulged in seeking bribe and in the trap that was led on 28.11.2015 on his behalf one Dilip Mishra, serving as Naik Police Constable was trapped while accepting bribe amount from the complainant. He was caught red handed.

In the circumstances of the present case, custodial interrogation of the applicant is very much necessary. The applicant is a Police Constable and in no case, relief of anticipatory bail in a case of corruption can be given to him.

In view of above, Criminal Application No.698/2015 is rejected.
