In view of the order dated 5th January, 2023, which we have passed in Writ petition No.3613 of 2022 and connected matters, we see no reason why the direction to maintain the status quo should be continued.

02] We, therefore, vacate the status quo granted vide order dated 14/09/2022.

03] We note from the communication dated 17/08/2022 addressed by the District Sub-Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Yavamal, to the Chairman of the petitioner-Market Committee that the proposal seeking extension of the term of the elected body is returned recording that the reasons are not found satisfactory. The fact that the proposal is returned, obviously is a rejection. 04] In this view of the matter, the case of respondent No.3-APMC will have to be dealt with in the light of the direction (C) in paragraph 12 of the order dated 05/01/2023 in Writ Petition No.3613 of 2022 and connected matters.
