CORAM : SMT. VASANTI A. NAIK AND V.M. DESHPANDE, JJ.

DATED : MARCH 15, 2016.

By this contempt petition, the petitioner has sought action against the respondents for wilful disobedience of the directions in the judgment dated 7.10.2013 in Writ Petition No.3983/2004, to pay the arrears of pensionary benefits to the petitioner with interest at the rate of 7.5 % per annum. Shri Thakre, the learned counsel for the petitioner states, on instructions, that the respondents have purged the contempt by handing over the cheque to the petitioner towards the payment of the interest, as only interest was not paid to the petitioner, despite the directions.

In view of the statement made by the learned counsel, we dispose of the contempt petition with no order as to costs.
