Shri S.M.Ghodeswar, A.G.P. for Respondent Nos.1 & 4. Shri S.S.Bhalerao, Advocate for Respondent Nos.2 & 3. CORAM : NITIN W. SAMBRE AND ABHAY J. MANTRI, JJ.

DATED : JULY 09, 2024.

1.

None for the petitioner. Heard learned A.G.P. and the learned counsel for the respondent Nos. 2 and 3. 2.

The petitioner Nos.1 and 2 appear to be husband and wife, who are demonstrated from the documents produced with the petition, to be appointed prior to cut-off date i.e. 31/10/2005, as such claimed to be entitled for the benefits under the Old Pension Scheme.

3.

Similarly, the petitioner No.3 claims to be appointed on 01/07/2005 i.e. before the cut-off date and his services were duly approved.

4.

In this background, it is the claim of the petitioners that the respondent authorities ought to have taken steps in the matter of permitting them to operate the General Provident Fund (GPF) Account.

2 08-WP852-2018 5.

It appears that the said grievance is not redressed till date.

6.

We dispose of the writ petition with direction to the respondent Nos.2, 3 and 4 to deal with the claim of the petitioners, as has been cited in the petition and take decision within a period of four months from today. 7.

The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No order as to costs.
