By preferring this application, the appellant is seeking suspension of sentence and releasing the appellant on bail.

The application for suspension of sentence passed in Special Criminal (Child) Case No. 27/2023 dated 10/09/2024, by which the present appellant is convicted for the offence punishable under Section 4(2) of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and under Sections 377, 506 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and sentenced to suffer Rigorous Imprisonment for 10 years and six months.

Heard learned counsel for the applicant to some extent, perused the evidence of the victim as well as the medical evidence, and I have shown my disinclination to suspend the sentence. Learned counsel for the applicant seeks permission to not press the application. rkn

Criminal appeal is already admitted.
