2) The applicants have apprehension of arrest in Crime No. 1351 of 2025, registered with Police Station Wardha, district Wardha for the offences punishable under Sections 406,408,420,467,468 and 471 r/w 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.
3) It is the case of prosecution that, the Bank Manager, Axis Bank, Bhamtipura, Wardha lodged the complaint that Bank has engaged Quess Corpo Limited to trace out the customers, so that loan can be disbursed to them. In view of that, Quess Corpo Limited has appointed some persons, duty was assigned to them to visit the
2 / 5 9- aba 794-25 customers and used to obtain the documents from them, so that loan can be disbursed to them. However, when the documents were sent to Axis Bank, Aakashwani Chowk, Nagpur for verification, it was found that in 26 cases, false documents, false Bank statements and false salary slips were prepared and personal loan was disbursed in the name of those customers. When the customers did not repay the loan from Wardha Branch, the Internal Vigilance Department of Axis Bank inquired the matter and it was transpired that in the name of innocent persons, false salary slips, false statements and false documents were prepared and illegally loan was sanctioned. In all, 26 fraud matters were unearthed. In view of this, the Bank suffered a loss of Rs.2,55,92,000/-.
Then Fraud Identification Council Mumbai constituted a committee of five persons, who after detailed inquiry, filed the report, in which, about 5 to 6 persons appeared to be involved. It is also transpired that false documents were prepared in pursuance of which, false loan case was made causing huge financial loss to the Bank. On the basis of said report, the crime is registered. 4) The learned counsel for the applicants has stated that the applicants are not connected with the said Axis Bank, they are neither employee nor connected with the said company Quess Corpo Limited. They are not concern with the loans granted by the Axis Bank.

It is the contention of the applicants that applicant No.1 is the money lender and being a money lender, the stamps found in his house. The custody of these applicants is not required. Hence, prayed to protect them by granting anticipatory bail. 5) The learned APP opposed the application stating that there are antecedents against these applicants. Similar type of crimes are committed by these applicants. Applicant No.1 is the master mind of said fraud. He knows how to dupe the bank and he has provided fake documents and on the basis of said documents, the loan was sanctioned. As the fake documents are found in the house search and Fake rubber stamps were also found in the house of the applicant No.1, the custody of these applicants is necessary. Hence, prayed to reject the application.
6) Heard both the sides and perused the record.
7) The applicants are not the employees neither they are connected with the Company. Only because some documents are found in the house of the applicants and rubber stamps were found in the house search of applicant no.1, on the basis of statement made by the co-accused, the name of these applicants are mentioned in the FIR. The
4 / 5 9- aba 794-25 applicants are not the employees of said Axis Bank and they are not directly connected with the agency. It is not the duty of these applicants to verify whether the documents are forged. The allegations about supplying the forged documents are made against both the applicants, the documents are already seized. Therefore, further custody of these applicants is not required. Some bank accounts are also filed on record, which shows that there are financial transactions between the co-accused and these applicants. As all the material is already seized, the custody of these applicants is not required. Hence the application is allowed. Accordingly, I pass following order:
i] It is directed that in the event of arrest of the applicants Ananta Ramdas Ingle and Anup Janak Bansod, in connection with Crime No. 1351 of 2025, registered Police Station Wardha, district Wardha for the offences punishable under Sections 406,408,420,467,468 and 471 r/w 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 they be released on bail on furnishing P.R. Bond in the sum of Rupees Twenty Thousand each with one solvent surety in the like amount.
ii] The applicants shall not in any way tamper with the prosecution evidence.
iii] The applicants shall not pressurize or threaten the prosecution witnesses.
5 / 5 9- aba 794-25 iv] The applicants shall attend the concerned police station on every Monday and Saturday between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
v] The applicants shall co-operate the investigation officer.
8) The application stands disposed of.
