Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners. 2.

The challenge raised in this writ petition is to the communication dated October 18, 2023 whereby it is claimed that as against vacancies of 408 posts only 71 posts are sought to be filled in. 3.

According to the petitioners, their claim was required to be considered against the vacancies of 408 posts as is noticed in the roster (Bindunamawali - Page 68 of the writ petition) dated February 01, 2023.

The fact remains that only 71 posts were advertised as against which the petitioners have applied for recruitment. 5.

In the aforesaid background, we are of the view that the petitioners claim cannot be considered against the vacancies which were not advertised.
