IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT BOMBAY

NAGPUR BENCH, NAGPUR.

WRIT PETITION NO.7009 OF 2025 Ku Tanvi D/o. Anilrao Tonpe .Vs.

State of Maharashtra and others _______________________________________________________________________ Office Notes, Office Memoranda of Coram, appearances, Court's orders of directions Court's or Judge's orders.

and Registrar's Orders.

Ms S. S. Dashputre, Advocate for the petitioner(s) Mr Piyush Pendke, AGP for respondent No. 1/State CORAM : ANIL S. KILOR AND RAJNISH R. VYAS, JJ. DATED : NOVEM BER 19 , 2025 .

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

2.

According to her, after death of the father of the petitioner, she applied for grant of compassionate appointment and on 24.02.2023, her application came to be rejected on the ground that mother of the petitioner is employed as a 'Teacher'.

3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has invited our attention to the Government Resolution dated 17.07.2025 and contended that she is eligible in view of said Government Resolution.

4.

Admittedly, father of the petitioner has died, much prior to issuance of Government Resolution dated 17.07.2025 and therefore, subsequent policy framed by the Government cannot be taken into consideration.

102.wp.7009.2025.odt 5.

Therefore, we do not find any merit in the petition in the light of the fact that at the relevant time the mother of the petitioner was working. That being so, the petition is dismissed. No order as to costs.
