This Petition is filed by eleven villagers stated to be residing within the jurisdiction of Melghat Tiger Reserve. The Petitioners have challenged the Government Resolution dated 03 November 2012 whereby rehabilitation policy of the villagers from the Tiger Reserve was evolved by the State of Maharashtra.

The learned Incharge G.P. points out that pursuant to the said Resolution dated 03 November 2012, rehabilitations have taken place and the Petitioners, the eleven individuals, have not given any particulars of SMGate

wp 1593.2020.odt their own and the Petitioners cannot be said to be representing all the villagers.

The Government Resolution dated 03 November 2012 was issued almost a decade ago. As pointed out by the learned Incharge G.P., rehabilitation has taken place.

This Petition is neither filed in representative capacity nor is a Public Interest Litigation, therefore, the Petitioners will have to plead their particulars as to their lands; what steps as against them were taken pursuant to the said policy and why they are not accepting the said Policy/ Resolution.

The learned Counsel for the Petitioners states that a fresh Petitions will be filed pleading particulars of each of the Petitioners and as to why they are not accepting the said Policy/Resolution. 6.
