DATE : 18 th FEBRUARY, 2020 01] This is an application for permission to withdraw the amount of compensation deposited in this Court by respondent No.3 - Land Acquisition Officer.
02] On 20/02/2018, the writ petition filed by the applicants/petitioners was partly allowed directing respondent Nos.1, 3 & 4 herein to pay the amount of compensation to the petitioners with interest at the rate of 9% per annum for the first year and thereafter at the rate of 15% per annum till the amount is actually paid to the petitioners. The amount of compensation was in respect of acquisition of the petitioners' land. Subsequently, on 27/04/2018, this Court allowed the Land Acquisition Officer to deposit the amount of Rs.1,98,386/- in this Court within ten days from the date of the said order.
caw.218.20 2/2 03] The learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that accordingly respondent No.3 has deposited the said amount in this Court. The statement is also accepted by the learned A.G.P. The learned Counsel for the petitioners also submits that all the documents, such as Indemnity Bond etc., will be furnished by the petitioner with the registry. 04] In that view of the matter, the petitioners are permitted to withdraw the compensation amount of Rs.1,98,386/- along with interest accrued thereon, on satisfying the Registrar (Judicial).
05] The civil application is allowed and disposed of accordingly.
