The applicant is apprehending arrest in connection with Crime No.1344/2016 registered with Police Station, Ramnagar, Tq. Dist. Chandrapur for an offence punishable under Sections 65 (e) and 83 of the Maharashtra Prohibition Act and under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code.

According to the prosecution, on 04.09.2017, when the truck of Ashok Layland make bearing registration No.MH-34/BG-0165 was intercepted, that time, it was noticed that the said truck was carrying foreign liquor worth Rs.10,50,000/-. According to the prosecution, this liquor was meant for the present applicant, who is indulged in the selling of the liquor illegally.

The State has already pointed out that it is the family business of the present applicant and the applicant and his family were involved in similar types of offences earlier also.

In that view of the matter, no case is made out by the applicant for grant of bail. The application is therefore rejected. Interim order dated 05.12.2017 stands vacated.
