DECEMBER 17, 2024 Heard learned Advocate for the petitioner at the notice stage. Perused the record and proceedings. 2.

The petitioner was ordered to undergo rigorous imprisonment for two months and to pay a fine of Rs.60,00,000/-. In the appeal, at the stage of deciding suspension of sentence application, he has been directed to deposit 25% of the total compensation. The petitioner is aggrieved by this order.

I have heard the learned Advocate for the petitioner. On going through the record I do not see any substance in this petition. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed.

Learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that thirty (30) days time be granted to the petitioner to

8.cri.wp.1008.2024.odt deposit the amount as directed by the learned Judge of the appellate Court. In view of this statement, thirty days time is granted for deposit of the amount in terms of order dated 04.11.2024, passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge. The petitioner shall deposit the amount within 30 days. If he fails to deposit the amount within thirty days the order of suspension of substantive sentence shall stand automatically recalled.
