This is an application for bail by the accused who has been arrested in Crime No. 57 of 2024 registered at Mana Police Station, Tq. Murtijapur, District Akola for the offence punishable under Sections 302 and 309 of Indian Penal Code.

Perused the record and proceedings. The applicant/accused is facing a charge of the murder of deceased Shobha. As per the case of the prosecution, the SKNair
34-ba-1241-24.odt accused had illicit relations with Shobha. There are eye witnesses to the incident. There were 17 bleeding injuries on the person of the deceased. Accused not only murdered the deceased but also tried to commit the suicide.

Considering the serious nature of crime, it would not be proper to enlarge the accused on bail. The witnesses are from the same village. Therefore, the possibility of tampering the prosecution witnesses cannot be ruled out, if the accused released on bail. 5.
In view of this, I am not inclined to grant the bail application. Accordingly, the application is rejected.

The fees of the learned counsel appointed for applicant be quantified as per rules.
