1. The petitioner is a retired employee of the respondent no.6. A claim raised by the petitioner relating to nonpayment of higher pay-scale is admittedly pending before the Deputy Director of Education, Nagpur Division, Nagpur for a decision. Mr. Patil, learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner seeks a direction on the Deputy Director to decide the claim of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible. Mr. S.M. Ukey, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the Deputy Director submits that the claim of the petitioner shall be decided within a period of four weeks.
2. The statement of Mr. Ukey is accepted.
3. The Deputy Director shall proceed to decide the claim of the petitioner within four weeks from date of receipt of a

4. The writ petition stands disposed of, without costs. All contentions are left open.
