DATE : MARCH 04, 2020 The petitioners are the owners of Survey Nos.91, 90/A, 90/2, 119/3, 132 and 133 respectively of Mouza Kargaon, Tq. Bhivapur, Dist. Nagpur. They seek a direction to initiate proceedings for acquisition of said lands as it is proposed that a minor canal be constructed therein. On 23/02/2020 time was granted to the learned Assistant Government Pleader to obtain instructions as to within what period further steps would be taken for acquiring the aforesaid lands. By referring to the communication dated 20/02/2020 issued by the Collector it is submitted that within a period of six months necessary steps would be taken to purchase the aforesaid required lands through private negotiations. In that view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to take necessary steps within period of of six months to acquire the lands of the petitioners through private negotiations. No costs.
